The goal of this course is to familiarize students with the important concepts and major theories of international finance. The focus of the course will be on how open-economy variables, such as the exchange rates, international capital movement and international trades affect economic performance and how economic policies should be designed, taking into consideration the complexities brought about by open-economy considerations.
As part of the effort of the university to promote the use of foreign language in instruction, this course will be taught entirely in English. Students are required to use English in all classroom activities, including exams, classroom discussions and project.
